Community Impact
2023 marked our first full year implementing our two-pronged grantmaking approach that incorporates both responsive grants and proactive grants:
- Two rounds of responsive grants = 14 grants totaling $434,000.
- Three rounds of proactive grants = 9 grants totaling $390,000.
- Leveraging out of school time to mitigate the education opportunity gap – 3 grants totaling $130,000
- Increasing the consistency of healthy parent or other caring adult relationships in kids’ lives – 3 grants totaling $130,000
- Increasing access to and availability of mental health services – 3 grants totaling $130,000
- Strengthening the Nonprofit Sector = $204,000
- Celebrated the successful completion of the SNS Campaign which supported increased investments in Lakeshore Nonprofit Alliance, development opportunities for rising leaders, and the launch of a technical assistance fund.
