Colleen has been involved with the Foundation since her days as a board member of the Holland Young Professionals more than a decade ago. At that time, the Holland Young Professionals partnered with CFHZ to establish the HYP Fund to inspire philanthropy in young Holland/Zeeland area professionals. In 2015, Colleen served on the Campaign Committee for the Today. Tomorrow. Forever. Campaign for our Community’s Endowment. In 2016, she joined the Board of Trustees and served on the Distribution Committee; and in 2018 joined the staff as the Vice President of Development and Donor Services.
As Vice President of Development and Donor Services, Colleen leads CFHZ’s efforts to grow the Community’s Endowment and provide exceptional services to donors to help them achieve their charitable goals. She works with individuals, families, and companies, along with their Professional Advisors, to help them organize their charitable giving for maximum impact.
Colleen grew up in West Michigan and is a graduate of Aquinas College. She has completed the Principles & Techniques of Fundraising course through the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and recently achieved her designation as a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) through American College.
Colleen has been actively involved in several community organizations including serving on the local boards of Kid's Food Basket and Resilience. Colleen was formerly co-chair of the Center for Women in Transition’s (now Resilience) Forward Together Endowment Campaign, and co-chair of the Herrick District Library millage campaign. Colleen is a 2014 graduate of the West Coast Chamber Leadership Program and in 2018 was awarded the Community Matters award by the Holland Young Professionals.
