Jonathan serves as President and CEO of PADNOS, overseeing strategic planning initiatives and execution thereof. He joined the company in 2011, arriving as the first 4th-generation Padnos to join the family business. From 2011 to 2015, Jonathan was instrumental in building the company’s plastics recycling business – a business that experienced exponential growth under Jonathan’s direction. In 2016, Jonathan took on the role of President, subsequently adding the CEO title and role in January 2020.
Prior to joining the family business, Jonathan resided in Israel and worked with Deutsche Bank. In his role as a junior investment banker on the Israeli regional coverage team, Jonathan offered clients corporate finance advisory services with a focus on M&A and equity issuance. Jonathan also served the Israel Defense Forces as a bridge officer on an anti-sub missile ship and as Chief Navigation, Detection and Communications Officer of Israel’s Navy Missile Ship Fleet. Educationally, Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (summa cum laude) and Management (magna cum laude) from Tel Aviv University. He is also a graduate of Israel’s Naval Academy.
Jonathan, his wife, Shani, and their three children make their home in Holland, Michigan.
